That is the wisdom that I have obtained for myself during the time that I have spent with the highly educated mortal, Zei.” He narrowed his eyes at Koh. “What are you up to this time, Koh? Pray share, so that I may understand.” The sarcasm was heavy in Wan Shi Tong’s voice.

“Stealing faces from a young girl, an Earthbender who is the Avatar’s friend at that. Smells like desperation to me, Koh. Has the Spirit World run out of faces to steal already?” answered Wan Shi Tong grimly. He was once afraid of Koh, but no longer. They were spirits of equal rank and power. The owl spirit was determined to keep his cool and make it out of Koh’s lair with the face he had come to retrieve.
